Justice Minister Selim Selim Selimi has held the first meeting with the expert group for vetting, the Online Economy reports.
Selimi said it is important that this process co-operate with US and EU officials.
Among other things, Selimi said that the meetings he had with the Judiciary and Prosecutorial Council have received their support for joint work in this direction all in order to establish an accounting system.
We discussed long distances with them, and in this discussion we saw the work they did, and we discussed several other specific issues related to the matter of self - sacrifice. We stand for all involvement because every expert is welcome”.
It is important that this process co-ordinate with other officials like the United States and the EU. During my meetings with the procuroial and judicial council, they have shown a will to have part of the proposal to show how the accounting system is”.
Any tendency to use these expressions to achieve a handful of votes is wrong because we need judicial security”, Selimi said.
Deputy Prime Minister Driton Selmanaj has said how Government is interested in this process of reform in justice happening, EO reports.
“We today had a meeting with the group of experts who committed the past government. We as Government are committed to the reform process in justice happening and to have concrete steps in empowering rule of law. We have maximum appreciation for the work this group has done.”
It is important our commitment that this government will take concrete steps to put in the right track all the problems facing the justice system in Kosovo”.
Selmanaj has said the idea is for the group to continue, but to be completed with other heeders.
