The head of the Directorate for Fire and Civil Protection, Goran Nikoli, declared today that because of the excess filling of rivers the most critical situation at the moment is in Ljubovija and Guča, because there was heavy rainfall in the early hours of the morning.
“All 48 people were evacuated, and a person was saved where life was critical,” told RTS.
In Ljubovia, a bridge was destroyed yesterday, and there is the danger that the river would remove another bridge.
” Yesterday, due to that bridge, the city centre itself was flooded,” stressed Nikolic. He stressed that the situation in Ljubovija and Guca and Lucani is now being monitored intensively.
