About 640 American soldiers will remain within KFOR in Kosovo, American President Donald Trump has announced.
In a letter to the House of Representatives, Trump has delivered a report by his administration for the Military Forces Resolution for the deployment of US forces to other countries.
Speaking of the presence in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Arabia, Jordan, Turkey and other countries where the US has its own armed forces, Trump has also cited the presence within KFOR.
The United States continues to contribute to KFOR, led by NATO, in co-operation with local authorities, Bible partners and international institutions, to avoid renewed hostilities in Kosovo. Some 640 members of the US Army are among the 400 members of KFOR”, said in Trump's letter.
He has ultimately stressed that he has authorised the position of these forces in these countries, based on his authority as Commander General.
