The player or staff member who has proved positive at COVID-19 will be isolated for a period of seven days.
This means that the infected person will not appear in the next round of Friday's Premierliga matches.
The member's name or footballer has not been made known, and so has the team's name from where the infected person comes.
Premierligla officially returned on Wednesday, with Aston Villan matching 0-0 to Sheffield United and Manchester City defeating 3:0 Arsenal.
