European Union Emissar for Kosovo Dialogue -Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, has asked institutional and political leaders in Kosovo to be united in dialogue with Serbia.
After meetings he had over the past two days, through a conference on media, the Slovak diplomat said he has received no invitation for the 27 June initiative to resume dialogue in Washington.
He said he has talked with Prime Minister Hoti to lead the dialogue. According to him, Kosovo's future is in Europe, until it has called speculations all reports of exchange territories.
Although it has been in Kosovo for three days, Lajcak did not give the date for restarting dialogue in Brussels. That is what he said would let it be known after his visit to Serbia.
I am willing and committed to resume dialogue and help the parties to a comprehensive agreement. A lasting agreement. At my meetings I stressed that Kosovo should be united in dialogue. The dialogue should be on politics”, he said.
He has stressed that the EU cannot be side-sided with Serbia, as the EU offers European future for both countries.
“I have serious doubts that a good agreement between Kosovo and Serbia can be reached without the presence of the EU”, he said.
At this media conference, Lajcak also talked about visa liberalisation, according to him they will only leave is a time period.
