Stano stressed that the EU is continuing its full commitment in this direction, citing EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajcak's visit to Pristina and Belgrade.
“As a result of his talks, we can announce that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will continue in July”, Peter Stano said.
He explained that there is still no specific date, but that both sides have agreed to continue the dialogue in Brussels, and that they are currently working on setting a date.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti are expected to visit Brussels this week for talks with European officials.
According to the EU spokesman, these will be “separate bilateral visits”, which have nothing to do with continuing dialogue.
Vuciq and Hoti will stay in Brussels before the upcoming meeting between Kosovo delegations and Serbia at the White House in Washington on 27 June.
Earlier there was speculation that before the US meeting, there will be an effort to organise a meeting between the parties in Brussels.
However, on Monday, after meeting with Miroslav Lajcak, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said there was no reconciliation for a joint meeting.
