The closest rival is centre-right liberal and Warsaw Mayor Rafael Trzaskowski, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
The elections are being followed with great demand across Europe, while Mr. Duda in the Law and Justice Party has been constantly clashing with the EU on judicial and media contracting reforms.
When President Duda this month condemned the promotion of the LGBTI community's rights as a <x0ideology” more dangerous than communism, European Commission Vice President Vera Yourova said it was “that was sad” when European high profile politicians “set out to target minorities for political benefits. ”
