The Kosovo government at the regular meeting has decided since 22 this month to open up four border checkpoints for circulation.
Health Minister Armend Zemaj said it is being done due to the huge influx of citizens who are crossing the border now after the pandemic.
The cabinet changed and fulfilled government decision No02/38 of May 31, 2020.
“Kissim defined the border points that opened on May 31st, but is seen necessary from the large influx of citizens heading to those points, we have seen the need to open the Prush Qafe, Qafe Morine, Muchibabe and Mutioda points. This decision will come into force by the 22nd of this month”, Zemaj said.
The government cabinet has made reviews and voting of the draft government's 2020 work plan and the government's indicator plan for 2021 and 2022.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said he expects the cabinet's maximum commitment to implement the work plan.
The government's “work and key activities are based on these government priorities and are fully described in the governing programme starting with our first priority, management of the pandemic to continue with economic recovery”, Hoti said.
Meeting today's government has also voted fulfillment and changing regulation for the areas of administrative responsibility of the prime minister's office and ministries.
Also today, the proposal to ask the president for authorisation for signing the credit agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the World Bank, represented by the International Development Association, for financing “the emergency project, Covid 19 for Kosovo.
Hoti has announced that the budget review is being postponed for tomorrow's meeting because they have not yet received all reports from budget institutions.
