Despite increases in cases with COVID-19, the Kosovo government at the evening meeting has made a decision to reopen air transport, swimming pools and public gatherings. But the executive said that if they cannot be monitored during the following week, and there is a new epidemiological situation in Kosovo, the recommendation is the return of rigorous measures.
During this meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Vesel Krasniqi also said that pools will be opened by 1 July.
We have received recommendations from the IKSHPK and the Ministry of Health, I believe we will have an appointment, but from the date 01.07.2020 will start working on the instructions that we will also give gastronomials and” pools, he said.
Chief executive Avdullah Hoti said these decisions are in the context of opening the economy, but in the long run people's health should be taken into account.
“We will work on opening the economy, but given the health of people”, Hoti said.
Taking all these decisions, Health Minister Armen Zemaj said it was made with the recommendation of health experts.
But he stressed that if there is a new epidemiology situation, rigorous measures will be returned.
