The NBA will return on July 31st to follow up the rest of the season that has been interrupted since 11 March. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has suggested that the security regulations that will be implemented will be strong and there will be no exceptions.
“We'll have a very strict medical protocol, which can penalise trainers over 65 years old. It may be that some of them will not be allowed to train or guide their team during this period of pandemic”, said Silver.
“There will also be social remote protocols and it may happen that these trainers will attend matches in a special room or dressing rooms. So the players and the trainers themselves are the most protected.Ur”, Silver said.
There are currently three trainers over 65 years of age in the NBA who risk not running their teams: Gregg Popovich (71), Mike D'Anton (68 years old) and Alvin Gentry (65 years old).
