Who Was Fadil Vokrri?

Today it is two years since Albanian football legend Fadil Vokry was divided from life. The premature separation from Fadil Vokrri's life was shocking news not only for Kosovo football but even wider.

Fadil Vokrrit's biography is said to have been born on July 23, 1960, in Podujevo. Football began to take place as 15-year-old, while as 17-year-old, it debuted on KF “Lap” in Podujevo.

But who was Fadil Vokrri.

During the 1980 ' s-1990 ' s, Fadil Vokry was the synomony of football, of generations of his then successes, and of what he was like a football player.

He began his football career with Podujevo's KF Llap and later went through. KF Pristina played for a period even with Belgrade's KF Partizan.

In 1987 the Juventus football club was interested in it and proposed signing a several-year contract. That same year, Fadil Vokry was praised as the best football player of the year in Yugoslavia.

During that time, Miroslav Blazevic, coach of the Pristina Football Club, praised Fadil Vokrin as the best centre attacker in Yugoslavia.

At that time, however, Fadil Vokrri was called upon to perform compulsory military service.

During the period of military service, he played for KF Partizan Belgrade. Fadil Vokrrit was then proposed to play the Zagreb Dinamon.

Fadil Vokrri decided to play for the KF Partizan. “Partizan”, was the first team to have expressed interest in me. The reason to switch to the ranks of “Partizan”, first has established the Pristina-Belgrade mileage proximity, then, as the former Yugoslavia's world is known, “Partizan”, has had many sympathies in Kosovo, because this team always had some Albanians active in the club.

For the outlook “Partizan” has had Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, three main centres for recruiting players. And I as a child, like any of my peers was a fan of Belgrade's “Partizan”, which means like most Kosovars, so these were the reasons I passed through the “Partizan” team. The terms this team had offered me were very good, and it was also “Prishtina”, with my transfer to “Partizan”, it hasn't been badly divided by “lek”, so all components were fulfilled to make me a player of the “Pizani” team. I've had a great time on this team, but no different provocations have been missed. Like. the world when Trepca miners entered the mosque, TV Vest from Belgrade, on the Albanian-language show at five o'clock, invited me to call, so that the miners could get out of the zgaffle (this is the first time I'm making it public), I've been shown two-three times different names of the policy sphere, but I told them I don't deal with politics and that it's politicians who can call ...<x14.

Fadil Vokri was the first Albanian to manage to play in Yugoslavia's representative, later announcing the best player in this Balkan Federation.

But in this same period (1984-1987) Vorkri was a member of the state representation, for which there were 12 presentations and 6 scored goals. From these matches I remember that of 14,10.1987, at the <x0... Sarajevo's Grbavica”, while in 1990 to 1992 Vorkri enjoys the Turkish championship by being a member of Fenerbahce (53 matches 19 goals).

Fadhil had said that at the time clubs from Turkey were not easily passing UEFA races, so this has been a big party in Istanbul.

The last four years of his active career as footballer, Fadil Vokrri again spent in France playing for Bouggas (1992/93) and Montlucon (1993/95), where he has also completed his active football career.

Fadil Vokri belongs to the so-called “Pristina's Golden Generies” and from the same generation, as well as from many of the most connoisseurs and sports lovers in general, and football in particular Fadil Vokri is considered the living “gent” of Kosovo football and football that exceeds the size of a common attacker.

His return to Kosovo's homeland and leadership of football led Kosovo to join UEFA and FIFA.

Vorkri in the last days of his life served as president of the Kosovo Football Federation, while in his career he is known as a great goal scorer, shining in various teams where he was praised.

Vorkri in 2008 took the wheel of Kosovo Football Federation as the most needed man to run NFFC towards U membership FIFA EFA.

On January 15th, 2016, Vokrrit was entrusted with the third four-year term as NFF chairman. He was a graduate of the School of Management and Business, while in addition to his mother tongue, he owns French, Turkish and Serbo-Croat languages.
