U n EFA will decide next week how to complete the 2019-20 season in the Champions League and the League of Europe. These two races have been suspended since March because of the coronary pandemic.
U n EFA on the official page Thursday has announced that its Executive Committee will hold video conference on June 17th, where the topics to be discussed will also be the continuation of competitions in the Champions League and the League of Europe. Both of these races are still at 1/8 of the final.
The final of the Champions League was meant to be held in Istanbul, while the European League in the Polish town of Gdansk. But last month U n EFA has said it will consider other options.
It can be decided that the remaining matches in both races will be played in one arena and the quarterfinals and semifinals played by just one match, instead of playing two games.
Four games left without ending at 1/8 of the Champions League final. So far four clubs, Atletico Madrid, SPG, Atalanta and RB Leipzig have secured passage to the quarterfinals.
In the League of Europe, the first two sides of the 1/8 finals still have to be played, as well as all return matches.
Madrid Mayor on Tuesday has said he is negotiating the hosting of the Champions League final.
At U Executive Committee Meeting EFA is also scheduled to discuss the schedule and location for Euro 2020, which has been delayed for the summer of 2021. It will also be talked about dates of equalities that were previously played in March. In the semifinals Kosovo will play North Macedonia.
