Denmark has been open since Saturday for the arrival and departure of travellers to all European countries, except for six countries, based on data on the proportion of daily people in the population, including neighboring Sweden, the Danish Foreign Ministry announced today.
A maximum limit of 20 newly infected for 100,000 per week has been set, making it impossible for British, Irish, maltese, Portuguese, Romanians and most Swedish to enter Denmark.
“Reabilisation of travel warnings shows Denmark and most of Europe are in a much better position than we had hoped late,” said Foreign Minister Gjone Kofod on Thursday.
The list will be updated every week. Travelers from several Swedish provinces will be able to visit Denmark under a special provision for the Nordic region, which is based on the steps of regional infection.
Denmark closed its borders in mid-March, but is gradually removing restrictions.
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, meanwhile, said in Oslo that passengers from most of the Schengen area and the European Economic Zone will be able to come to Norway by 15 July if the level of infection remains low.
The Norwegian Public Health Institute will publish a list of countries and regions from which it will be possible to enter Norway by July 10th.
This list will be updated every two weeks, and the percentage of people infected in the total population is seen as criteria.
Travelers from places on the list will not have to spend 10 days in isolation.
However, Norwegians travelling to neighboring Sweden, which is still struggling with a relatively high number of issues, will have to return to isolation for 10 days after their return.
