China has marked increases in daily infections with COVID-19.
China reported its highest daily growth in Coronavirus cases in nearly three weeks with 16 new infections detected on May 31st, Reuters reports.
The National Health Commission (NHC) said in a statement Monday that all new cases included travellers from abroad, 11 of which were reported in Sichuan.
China reported two confirmed cases on May 29th, both imported.
Chinese state television reported that Sichuan's cases came on a flight from Egypt, and six other asimtomatic cases were found on the same flight.
China doesn't count cases of asmptomatics as confirmed by the vivid-19 infections, broadcasts news.net.
The NHC also reported 16 new asimtomatic cases on the continent for 31 May, compared to three days ago.
The total number of confirmed cases on China's territory is now 83,017, while the death toll remains at 4634.
