Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov was fined with a total of 153 euros after he entered a church without a mask.

Health Minister Kiril Ananiev has made this known on Tuesday (June 23rd), while only 1 days earlier he had called on citizens to use masks and gloves in closed places.

For Reuters, he said all attending church during the prime minister's visit would be fined.

Despite an increase in the daily number of infected people, the Bulgarian government says it has succeeded in coping with the pandemic crisis.

During June, Bulgaria has begun its gradual opening, but high figures have forced citizens to wear masks in closed places.
