British luxury car manufacturer Bentley announced today the cuts of 1,000 employees, about a quarter of its effectiveness, due to the decline in activity as a result of pandemic.
Marka, who employs 4 200 people in Great Britain and belongs to the German group Volkswagen, stressed in a communique that she had proposed willful evacuations, without excluding and firing more employees.
This announcement is another blow to Britain's automotive sector where restructuring has increased.
Yesterday, Aston Martin, another luxury brand, announced 500 job cuts and the chain of local merchants 1 500.
British automotive producer McLaren has decided to reduce his working force by 1 200 people.
