Chairman of the Technical Commission FIBA, Patrick Hunt, said: “These changes, approved by the FIBA Central Board, are designed to raise the standard and quality of the game.
Co-operation between the FIBA Players Commission, the World Association of Basketball Coachs, the FIBA Race Commission and the Rule Consultative Group, before offering proposals for the Technical Commission for their review, has been very positive and constructive”.
According to the established procedure, the FIBA Orders Consultative Group, composed of reference experts, studied closely all proposals for changes in rules before presenting them to the FIBA Technical Commission for final revision.
During the process, all key actors, including trainers, players, NBA representatives and NCAA, were all included in the analysis of rules changes. /
