Chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, has today met representatives of the Kosovo Gastronoveb association, Petit Kllokocin and Sarah Rexhepi Pula, with whom he has discussed major economic damage that has been caused to gastronomia by the divided-19 pandemic. After the meeting, Wessel has written on his Facebook page that the Democratic Party of Kosovo has been the first party to have sounded the alarm for the harmful economic consequences of pandemic, as well as has proposed a comprehensive package, with over 320m euros, to save and restore the economy.
“Brenda package we have also envisioned the support of damaged gastronomy businesses, so it must be adopted as soon as possible by the Kosovo Assembly”, Veselin wrote.
Today I waited at the meeting at Petrit Klokocin and Sarah Rexhepi Pula from the Kosovo Gastronomous Association, an organisation that represents the numerous businesses of coffee, clubs and restaurants. This sector carries a huge burden on the country's economy, ranking as also one of the top employers. The emergency pandemic situation and the measures taken during this period have mostly hit the gastronomy sector, jeopardising the bankruptcy of many businesses.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has been the first party to have sounded the alarm for the harmful economic consequences of pandemic, as well as has proposed a comprehensive total package, with over 320m euros, to save and recover the economy. Within the package we have also envisioned the support of damaged gastronomy businesses, so it should be approved as soon as possible by the Kosovo Assembly. But these businesses also need the support of all of us. So I call on the diaspora and all Kosovo citizens to support patriotic tourism by consuming mainly inside Kosovo during the approaching tourist season.
