US President Donald Trump has interrupted his press conference Monday, following a controversy with an Asian-American journalist, by which he has asked her “to put China” on that question, then refusing to give her the opportunity to put up with another journalist.
Wejia Jiang, CBS News correspondent for the White House, has asked why the president sees the testing for coronarys as a global race, considering that over 80,000 Americans have died.
Maybe that's a question you should ask China”, Trump told Jiang, who was born in China, but had arrived in the United States at the age of two. Don't ask me. Ask China, okay?
Trump had then attempted to give the word to Caitlin Collins, CNN's journalist, but Jiang had intervened.
Why are you telling this to me?
I'm telling you”, Trump has responded. I'm not telling anyone specifically. I'm telling everyone who asks unpleasant questions”.
Trump then tried again to ask questions from another journalist. Collins, who had given Jiang the opportunity to ask the second question, had approached the microphone.
“I have two questions”, Collins said, but Trump didn't allow them to lay down, then interrupting the press conference.
The president of the United States has since been strongly reproved by critics for his approach.
Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders has called this crash “pathetic”.
