Singapore has today introduced a scary four-legged robot that will be deployed to remind people in parks to maintain the distance to the safety of the coronary.
The robot named “Spot,” is shown in video patrolling in Bishan-Ang Park Mo Chi as part of his two-week testing. It was created by the American arms company Boston Dynamics, as it is said in order to reduce the human power required for patrols in parks”.
He's equipped with cameras and sensors to calculate the number of visitors to the park, and he gives his announcements via a speaker who says “Stand by at least one metre of distance”.
At the moment Spot is commanded by the operator, but creators say in the future it will create full autonomy of movement.
