Rukiqi talks about family parties, will they be organised this year?

There will be no family weddings and parties this year. So said Health Minister Arben Vitita a few days ago in his presentation, explaining relief measures.

Kosovo Economic Outlook Chairman Berat Rukiqi says he has received many requests for clarification from businesses that organise such venaries.

I've accepted dozens of requests from wedding-room owners, hotels, decorating companies, Cremators, clothing dealers, companies that organize events, cameras, etc., and I want to give some clarifications about the receptions we might have been reporting with weddings and parties, especially for this summer. The organizing of weddings and parties is certainly an important part of the monetary link that is created in our economy, especially during the summer months, as it has been connected to thousands of companies and individuals who have a significant share of financial stability and business survival, have access to these organizations. So it's not just wedding halls, but it's also a majority trade, minority trade, real estate, jewelry, music, aesthetic services, clothing sector, photographers, cameramen, etc.”, Rukiqi said.

The head of OEK said that even a good part of diaspora visits is related to participation in family parties, and that the austerity plan does not envision the removal of restrictions for hosting parties and weddings in the first three stages, but does not mean that at this stage there is a decision that will not be organised at all.

He said the decision would be in accordance with the epidemiological situation.

If the epidemiological situation and the monitoring measures, especially the social distance that will accompany us for a long time, which virtually prevents the collection of a large number of people in one country, then we have to sit down with all the high-key acts and make a plan for: damage compensation opportunities, postponement of contracts with customers, tax facilities, new debt programming created for fixed costs, etc. ”, he added further.

Rukiqi says that, next week, I will meet many of the owners of such businesses to discuss the difficult situation they are going through and alternative solutions to any situation that may arise.
