Robert Garcia Jr, of the boxing academy, called it pathetic.
He was not the only one who criticized Williams.
Superweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders challenged Williams, saying he'd be happy to go to America.
You worthless fool, the poor bastard can't keep his hands up, when he comes to the United States I'll kick your ass and see what's going to happen,” Saunders wrote.
Williams has responded to the criticism, acknowledging that he was very severe as a result of quarantine because of the coronary.
“I watch the video again and understand the reactions of how unilateral it was,” he said.
I'm not trying to embarrass my partner. I respect everyone getting in the ring. My intentions were not embarrassing. The intentions were to prove that I worked but turned against me.” /Periscope. com/
