Valmir Klaiqi, media adviser to former Mayor Kadri Veselini, has welcomed the adoption of this regulation, which, according to him, was drafted in full co-ordination with journalists and did so. Kosovo's country opens the most open institution for the media and the public in the countries of the region and beyond.
“Kosovo, has adopted today, regulation for media and public access to the work of the Assembly, which was drafted last year with full support from Chief Parliamentary Kadri Wessel. With this regulation, the Kosovo Assembly becomes the most open institution in the region for media and citizens. New regulation, designed in full co-ordination with the Association of Journalists Kosovo, journalists escorting the work of Parliament, as well as with support American National Democratic Institute (NDI). Transparency strengthens democracy”, said Claire through a Facebook post.
With the adoption of the new regulation, journalists who conduct the work of the Parliament will have access to all the Parliament's spaces and all the working troops of the legislature, respecting the laws in force.
