Although many of his countrymen, representing different nationals, became participants of several editions of the world's most visual event, the World Championship, football player from Gjakova, Ardian Kosnik until 2014, when Shkodran Mustaf was declared world champion with Germany, was the only Albanian player to be decorated with medals.
At the 1998 World Championship, Ardian Kossnik was in the composition of the Croatian team, which won third place, thus decorating with silver medals.
