This is why party deputy Eliza Hoxha announced at a news conference.
In view of the gravity and seriousness of the dramatic event, as well as the major responsibilities of state institutions that restricted his freedom and should take care of him, the Democratic Party of Kosovo proposes the establishment of a special parliamentary investigative commission. I remember that besides the legislative function, one of the most important functions Kosovo's Assembly exercises is that of monitoring the Government and demanding accountability for all actions taken by it. This parliamentary commission will have to investigate the government's behaviour and actions during the pandemic period by specifically dealing with institutional responsibilities that caused 26-year-old Agon Musliu” suicide.
Hoxha claimed they expect support from other parties for establishing this commission as well.
She stressed that documents published in the media for correspondence made with the Kosovo Embassy in Germany and the Gjilan Emergency Operations Centre testify that Minister Vitita and the individuals responsible for quarantine have been aware of the health problems of Agon Musliu.
The state subx0 institutions that were supposed to take care of the 26-year-old youth have committed a serious act of negligence and irresponsible that has then led to the suicide tragedy. Those facts also show that the dismissed health minister at the press conference yesterday has not told the truth. Also, numerous convincing facts have already come up that quarantine has been mismanaged and that there have been serious abuses in terms of the selective treatment of repatriated citizens” said Hoxha.
