Another major step towards common Kosovo league- Albania

Today, through a videoconference, the first meeting of the Kosovo Basketball Federation technical teams (FBK) and the Albanian Basketball Federation (FSHB) will work on preparing joint league documents and acts of norms. FBK Chairman Arben Fetah and the chairman of [...] attended the meeting.

Technical teams will be led by Secretary Generals of both Federations, until the entire process of document preparation is completed by the second week of June, when the agreement between the two Federations is expected to be signed to establish the common league.

The recent “Ide of the establishment of a common basketball league between the Albanian Basketball Federation and the Kosovo Basketball Federation will be realised by the annual 2020-21 competition edition. The National League Co-operation and Funding Agreement in Basketball will be formalised between the FSHB and FBK during June 2020, for a four-year period with the possibility of continuing.
The goal of the League will be to offer a competitive international environment to teams of participating states, promote competition among clubs, and ensure international matches and space in parks for local players.
The FBK and FSHB will delegate four teams to the League. For the 2010-2021 contestary edition, the round-row system will be established, with 14 regular rides in which each team plays at least two games. The League will be overseen by the League Steering Board, in which participating federations are delegated by 2 representatives, while federation representatives on this board unanimously appoint the independent board member, who will also serve as the chairman of the League Board”.
