Kurt complains about Thaci's actions this time at the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee

Numerous letters at the address of various states, Eurodeputs and independent mechanisms called for the interpretation of constitutional issues have been launched by incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, since the government's collapse with a no-confidence motion in the Assembly. They are informative and denouncing letters to President Hashim Thaci, following his decision to overcome the winning party by giving the mandate to the Democratic League.
Finally, Kurti addressed the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee with a letter writing that President Thaci, backed by some parties, is trying to realise an unconstitutional scenario, KoHA reports.
“With the initiative's undertaking to form Government, misinterpreting the election winner's demands for clarification on the constitutional basis about his actions, and inventing a deadline that is not envisioned anywhere in the Constitution, the president has acted clearly by violating the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo”, writes in Kurti's letter, which he has published the KOHA.
In the prime minister's office, they say the correspondence is within the regular communication they hold with partner states, since the government's election.
In some of them we have expressed our positions on issues of national importance, such as dialogue with Serbia. The announcement of partner states on the official positions of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is quite common practice, which is even binding. The purpose of these letters, in addition to maintaining communication with them, is to improve our partners on the work of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, its official positions on issues of particular interest, but also information on political and institutional developments in the country. It's extremely important for us, but it's also required that our partners be informed directly by us”, the spokesman, in a written reply to TIME.
Kurt also sent letters to the American vice president, Mike Pence, but he didn't make it public.
After media reporting, Kurti has denied last week that he has complained to Pence about the role of Ambassador Richard Green in Kosovo talks Serbia.
According to him, the letter is the first month and it has nothing to do with complaint, but with clarification of the government's position on dialogue.
