Kosovo's representative in handball (femmers) has been cancelled by four second phase qualification matches for “Euro 2020”, which had to play in the first part of this year.
Still, Kosovo girls will have international matches this year. They will participate in the first European qualifying phase of the 2021 World Championship, the Kosovo Handball Federation reports.
The next world is held in Spain from December 1st to December 19, 2021.
Kosovo will compete in world qualifications for the third time. Shorty will withdraw in early July, while the most likely matches will be played in late November or early December.
The EHF has set two terms if group matches are played in a tournament in one place. The first term is 27 November to 29 November, while the second term of December 4th to 6th. It is up to the national teams that are in the same group to decide whether to conduct the race in the form of tournament or games at home and on the journey.
The EHF has strongly recommended that, due to the current situation, tours are organised, not games played at home and on travel. The EHF recommendation will most likely be respected by all national teams playing in the first qualifying phase.
Kosovo's “Handball Fund is continuing to boost competition and quality on the national handball team. Quality players and other potential players have already made themselves available to choice Agron Shabani. Some of them will debut to the world's qualifying matches, at the end of November or early December”, is written in the FHK's announcement.
