Kosovo with flag and anthem at boxing tournament in Serbia

After some controversy has finally been clarified that Kosovo's boxing representative will participate in the World Championship to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, until it is represented by the flag and state anthem.

The news was made public by FBoxK's spokesman, Latif Demolli, through a long Facebook script.

The ABA declared Belgrade a host city of the 2021 World Boxing Championship.

Kosovo's national boxing will present participation in the World Championship in 2021 in Belgrade (Serbia) with 3 or 4 boxers.

Kosovo's boxing nation after accession to the AIBA World Boxing Federation in 2013 has participated in all the world championships that have been organised so far, even though some of the international states have not recognised Kosovo as a state like Armenia, Kazakh, Azerbedjan, Georgia, and so on. The only country where the government of the state has not allowed us to participate is India at the World Women's Championship, where Donjeta Sadik was not allowed to participate two years in the Young and Senior Championships.

But we believe and hope that Kosovo will be seen with the flag and state anthems at this world championship that will be organised in Serbia, for reason that FboxK will eventually send letters with the names of the Kosovo team to the ABA World Federation offices, as well as to the organiser's offices. It should be mentioned in 2014 Kosovo, for the first time, appeared to take part in the World Championship in Armenia, which does not recognise Kosovo as a state and did not allow the Kosovo team to enter Armenia. The Kosovo team stayed 24 hours at the airport and filed a complaint at the ABA World Federation at Chairman Ching-Kowou, who announced the organiser saying “if Kosovo is not allowed participation then we will cancel the country's” World Championship. And after that message to President Kuoevo the Kosovo Nation was allowed to participate.

And I believe that this story will not be repeated and that Kosovo will participate like any other country that is equal to the World Federation AIBA with full rights.

Although some of Kosovo's sports were not allowed by Sebia to participate in different European contests (Karate, Handball).

In 2017 the World Championship was given to India, and with the host city agreement, New Delhi was signed in January 2019. Under this agreement, half of the host's fees were expected to be paid on December 1st, 2019.

After Nee Delhi has failed to meet its obligations to pay the host's fee as mentioned in terms of the host city agreement The ABA had no choice but to terminate the contract in April 2020. India would therefore have to pay a fine of 500,000 USD cancellation.

The AIBA World men's boxing championship takes place in the city of Belgrade in 2021.

ABA acting president Mohammed Moustahsane claimed that” This World Champions would be a big event for Serbia”, and added

“We believe we will keep the time frame planned and hold the World Championship in 2021 if the pandemic situation is under control. Once it has been arranged, this will help our boxers plan preparations for the next year properly”, the apparent AIBA provisional president.

The president of the Serbian Boxing Federation, Nenad Borovcian, said the world championship has returned to Belgrade after 43 years, following the 1978 historic championship in Yugoslavia's capital, this is the second time our nation has returned as a host.

It should be noted that in 1978, the World Championship in Belgrade took part and two Kosovo boxers Sami Buzolli and Mehmet Boguyevci.

Sami buzolli was eliminated from the best fighter in the Mushhoki Championship, the Mehmet Boguyevci series after many difficult wars reached the final and took second place as World Vice Champion and won the silver medal.
