Kosovo, Albania finally with a common league

The multi-year dream of the creation of a common league between Kosovo and Albania is finally close to realizing.
The Kosovo Basketball Federation and the Albanian Basketball Federation are on the map of a plan to join the two respective championships, until numerous meetings they have had over the past few months are added, reports the newspaper Sheshi.

This has been confirmed by FBK Secretary General Elvira Dushku, who while invited to “Klan Kosova” confirmed the agreement reached between the two presidents to remove the borders and establish a common league.
The project should have started in April by organising the joint Cup, but the explosion of the pandemic of ʹkoronavirus has interrupted all plans.

The agreement between the two federations has also confirmed Avni Ponari, the first of the Albanian Basketball Federation, as he has received several examples from European countries of how a two federation-shaped league functions.
