The Commission for Foreign Affairs and Diaspores has gathered on Friday to discuss the repatriation of citizens during the pandemic situation. In spite of the incumbent's request, Glauk Konjufca to report, the commission has demanded that MPJD General Director Albert Prenkaj report ahead. So far, over 2,500 people have been repatriated to Kosovo.
The chairman of this commission, Time Kadriaj, said the ministry has sent the commission a surface statistical report.
“decides that such a request is again addressed to the general director. He has a legal obligation to come and report to MPs. We don't understand why he hasn't responded. We have been told in our letter that the director will not come to report, but the minister in office is able to come before the deputies. But you know the procedures, the minister cannot come before the commission's deputies”, he said.
While LVV deputy Victory Pacolli said the repatriation of persons in Kosovo has gone in line with the health situation they had.
“Ration has gone in line with the situation of these people. Those who have gone to health abroad have not had a chance to take refuge after recovery. They have not had support from the state they have stayed in, then they have been the priority of the ministry and embassies to return to their countries as soon as possible. So far there are over 2,500 people in Kosovo following all procedures not only of Kosovo, but also of other states”, she said.
She said opposition MPs are intent on covering the government's good work in office, Kurti.
The opposition's “Deputies have primary and only goal of covering the government's good work being done. Trying to find the vacuum, but also to change statistics and numbers to it by disinforming citizens to make the government's work not being done properly”, she said.
Pacolli, among other things, stressed that the number of returns has been made in line with the capacities in Kosovo.
