Haliti: Nationalist tax noise on Serbia

Invited to the “Descu” show at KTV, he said he was against the tax since the day it was set, at the end of 2018.

“As far as the tax is concerned, I have been declared against it since the next day, because Kosovo has no economic power and no policy to act contrary to the international community, we can swim on the opposite side of the river flow. I've been reviled, but it's my day, and it's out. I think the tax has made a noise, more nationalist than it has had effect, nationalistic noises when they start in politics, always being driven by dictatorships, not by solving problems”, said PDK chairmanship member.

The former delegation for many mandates has rejected former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's arguments, that with the tax being established, Kosovo's division stopped. According to him, these are talk and that dialogue will continue and that partition will not exist.

The “Dialogue will continue on the basis of the foundations that we have built, such as territorial integrity, borders, independence, minority rights, democracy development and other”, he said.

It has also said that Kosovo has lost much that has rejected the PDK leader's proposal in January 2019 to suspend the tax for 3 months. According to him, it would testify to the seriousness of the Kosovo side before its strategic partners.

Haliti also talked about the collapse of Kurti Government. He says that in party structures he has proposed that “is early to happen because of pandemic”.

I've given my opinion to the party, I thought it was fast because of the pandemic, but the decision has been that way and it's done. Maybe citizens see it differently. All my political life has gone by vote, with the vote unmatched the voice, even if it's right”, Haliti said.
