The Kosovo Embassy in Bern, Switzerland, reports citizens that land transport requires preliminary consent of the transit state, departure for Kosovo can only be done with the consent of the competent Kosovo authorities, where in co-operation with the state and foreign embassies ensure the free passage of the designated person.
The last <x0 May> has had cases where Kosovo citizens are headed towards their homeland by car and have been detained in countries like Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro, as they have not had the preliminary consent to cross transit through these countries” - the Kosovo Embassy in Switzerland reports.
So that's why all Kosovars who want to travel from Switzerland to Kosovo must first apply to the Kosovo Embassy.
