The first Corleone case in Switzerland's Superliga in football was presented Saturday. Lugano has announced that a team player has tested positive for COVID-19.
Lugano has announced that the player is a professional team, but has not revealed his name. Tests on this team were conducted under the plan to return to training Monday. Lugano ran tests, although this wasn't required by Superliga.
The affected player will remain isolated for ten days, the same as another player who was in close contact with the infected.
Two other team players and also an official have been proven to have had the virus earlier, but that they are already completely cured.
“Lugano called on all clubs to do tests when the exercises resume”, said the municipality of Lugano.
Politicians in Switzerland on Wednesday will decide whether the Superleague in Switzerland will resume on 19 June. Two days later, 20 professional clubs will decide whether they really want to continue the current edition or interrupt it.
