Bytyci, PDK: Sfechla's year must be resigned as they are subject to investigation into the death of the young man in quarantine

Democratic Party of Kosovo spokesman Avni Bytyci has said that Health Minister Arben Vitita and U.d Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sfecla should resign to open up full and independent investigation for the loss of young Agon Musliu's life in quarantine at the student centre [...]

He has written on his Facebook page that the previous position of the Year and the Sphecla in their duties could hinder investigations.

Avni Bytyci's full statement:

Acting Health Minister Arben Vitita stated yesterday that I will not resign, while his fellow party, Jhelal Svechla, invited an independent and quick investigation.

Both attitudes are absurd and contradictory since Mr. Vita and U.d. The minister's office minister, Svechla, must be subject to an independent investigation into neglect shown in the case of Agon Musliu's Death has come as a result of the government's failure and institutional links, which had consistently ignored his demands and his parent's release for health causes.

The resignation is given precisely to create conditions for full and independent investigations, where responsible persons leave the institutions so they can't get involved in the independent investigation. On the contrary, it can bring about damaged, distorted process of evidence or influenced by potential witnesses who are willing to cooperate with the investigation.

Their resignation is even delayed, these two senior government officials in office, Kurti, should have resigned when their personal decisions on the measures of limiting the movement were overturned by the Constitutional Court. Act against the legal and constitutional acts of Arben Vitit and Jedal Svechla have cost a citizen of life. While the pandemic itself could not be used as an excuse for such unforgivable neglect.

Arben's resignation of Jedal Svechla's Yearhood is not a moral obligation to leave justice to act, but it is a legal obligation that any public official should do when he himself is responsible in such a situation.
