Albanian sentenced to 30 years in prison, killed woman in Italy

The Bologna Appeals Court confirmed the 30-year prison sentence for Albanian Jevdet Mehmeti, 58, who stabbed his wife, Elsa Terziu.

Heavy crime occurred at the family's residence in Viale Dante in Piaceza.

Deputy Prosecutor General Walter Giovanni in his indictment requested confirmation of the first degree sentence referring to the “special service for his wife, who had more than once shown children fear that they might be killed“

The Albanian couple, parents of two children, had had had problems before.

At the time of the incident, one of the children was at home calling the police.
