Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti, on his Facebook page, has asked the Ministry of Health to review some of the measures imposed because they can bring major consequences to the economy.
According to Ahmeti, the current situation should remove the restriction of movement and start opening gastronomic businesses, KTV reports.
Other municipalities are supporting this demand.
This has been confirmed by the executive director of the Association of Kosovo municipalities, Saban Ibrahimi, saying these measures have influenced many municipalities, the cause of a drop in revenues from businesses.
He has added that municipalities are respecting all recommendations of the IKSHPK and the Ministry of Health, but in addition to the health of citizens, one should think of their economic and social welfare.
For the Pristina chairman's demands, officials from the Ministry of Health have said that re-evaluation is under way for many activities, including businesses.
As they added that the MSh makes decisions based on the institute's recommendations and that the central level decision-making for the Devov-19 pandemic is made by this minister, in co-operation with other institutions and levels, including municipalities.
