The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselini, has visited a Kosovo factory today, which even at this time has not stopped producing food products.
Leader of PDK during visit to factory “Elkos” in Pec unveiled its proposed economic recovery package The PDK, amounting to 320m euros. During conversation with Elkos Group owner Ramiz Kelmendi, Wessel said the proposed package, which continues to remain in parliamentary processes, will help 280 thousand private sector workers as well as thousands of businesses. There are all entrepreneurs like Ramiz Kelmendi. The service sector, the hotel sector, cannot afford to pay the rent, cannot afford to pay the workers, the loan. I'm talking about 280 private sector employees who need emergency for the Government of Kosovo to react as soon as it can keep these families from turning into social assistance so that those after three months will also be the ones who fill the state ark, who keep the Kosovo economy and who maintain the well-being as”, said Wessel.
According to him, entrepreneurs who are working do not want charity, but, as he said, the Kosovo government should act as soon as possible to support them. “As a Democratic Party, we will push hard. Fortunately, we had no support at the extraordinary session. We wanted to do it on Tuesday in one day, but now we're going to regular procedures. I call on the Kosovo government to reflect on this situation, I also call on the head of the Parliament to take the agenda next week so that we can pass the package that should unite us and not divide us”, Veselin said. For 21 years, these businesses according to Wessel have kept Kosovo strong and contributed to the state ark. The owner of the company “Elkos Group”, Ramiz Kelmendi, has supported the package proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo, for which he said such support would greatly help private companies.
“Private businesses and citizens need such support and visits in order to directly see the proposals it has given The PDK to support the private sector, and are more than necessary in order to cope with the crisis. It is known that businesses that the government supports in times of crisis are more favourable than regional businesses. So, it's a good opportunity that the package from pdk makes us take the leap in relation to countries in the region, Kelmendi said.
