Wessel: Turkish community in Kosovo serves to strengthen ties with Turkey

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has congratulated the Turkish community in Kosovo on their day, while stressing that this community also serves to strengthen Kosovo's relationship with Turkey's friendly state.

Wessel in a post on the social Facebook network writes that Kosovo is built on the foundations of freedom of democracy with a Constitution that guarantees and respects national, ethnic, cultural and social diversity.

“Today is Turkish Community Day.

Kosovo is built on the foundations of freedom and democracy with a Constitution that guarantees and respects national, ethnic, cultural and social diversity. On this day I take the opportunity to express gratitude for the precious contribution of the Turkish community and thank their participation in the long-term development perspective of the state of Kosovo. This community also serves to strengthen Kosovo's ties to Turkey's friendly state. We as the Democratic Party of Kosovo are assured that we will always work together, cultivating and respecting democratic and multiethnic values”, writes Wessel.
