Walker has apologized for the rude actions.
I want to use this opportunity to apologize publicly for the elections I made last week, which were released today (day) in a newspaper on my private life, Walker said.
I understand that my position as a professional football player brings responsibility to be a good example. So I want to apologize to my family, friends, my soccer club, my supporters, and the public, which I have disappointed”, he added.
City has reacted as well, announcing it is aware of its footballer's violations and confirming it will take disciplinary measures against him.
“Manchester City FC is aware of writing in a newspaper about Kyle Walker's private life for violating the social space regulations imposed by the British government”, it says in the club's response.
“We are disappointed in this and will proceed with internal disciplinary proceedings in the following days”.
