This event is estimated to be the largest cycling race involving 22 teams representing 14 countries, taking place in front of millions of street fans.
Initially, this tour has had to take place from 27 June to 19 July, but France's president's decision, Emmanuel Macron, to extend the ban on large gatherings has brought its postponement.
The race, which was won last year by Egan Bernal, will continue its original three-week route from Nice to Paris over 23 days.
