Telekom's chief chief explains photo with Thaci, says he is at the memorial academy for his witness brother

Istreff said the photograph was mounted and misinterpreted to tarnish it,

“Witnesses have not fallen for political parties, individuals or different groups for purposes and low interests, are attempting mounted and misinterpreted photos to bring my personal name and family together, labelling me as the close director with a political party. I have said several times publicly and I repeat today that I have not been elected to the top of Kosovo Telecom, as its chief executive, by no political party and I do not meet any political subject”, Istrefi said.

He has clarified that the photograph was taken at the memorial academy last year for his brother witnesses.

There has been an effort to politicize my name in a photo published on social media, but the truth is completely different. On April 26th of last year, under the auspices of Kosovo Assembly Speaker Mr. Kadri Veses was organised a memorial academy to remember and honour the martyrs of Melenica's Age. At these academys, the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaci among the many other martyrs of freedom also decorated our brother, Shemsiu, with the Kosovo Order “Heroi of Kosovo”, for bravery and sacrifice for Kosovo freedom”, wrote Istrefi.

This low- and denigrative campaign that is my participation in such an academy, tries to disinform and slander public opinion by politicizing my name, is extremely shameful and unrealistic”, he added.
