Authorities said relief of the measures could be made starting in late April.
“We know these measures are difficult for the economy and people, but we also plan to facilitate them by the end of April”, Health Minister Alain Berset said.
The Swiss government said it will extend restrictions for another week until April 26th, before seeing a gradual removal of them.
The measures Switzerland has imposed include border controls, school closures and assembly bans.
The country could face its worst economic downturn, the government said, predicting its contraction by 10.4% this year.
So far, in Switzerland, 705 people from Corleone have died, the Ministry of Public Health said on Wednesday.
The total number of infected has reached 22.789.
