Raka: April, month of crucial confronting the Coronaviros

Microbiologist Lull Raka says April will be the month of crucial confrontation with the COVID-19 virus in Kosovo. He says Kosovo is currently keeping the spread of the infection under control, but calls for increased care, especially in maintaining physical distance and testing cases that can be affected by contacts [...]
The National Institute of Public Health in Kosovo so far has tested more than a thousand and 700 people, of whom 135 have been confirmed affected with the COVID-19 virus, one has died while 16 have recovered.
Microbiologist Lull Raka, simultaneously co-ordinator of co-operation with the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, says in an interview for Voice of America that the actual numbers of the affected are good news but still need to be enhanced care for preventing the spread of the virus.
This number has two indicators, the first compared to the countries in the region says we have the lowest number of cases and the other element that is also important we have the lowest number of deaths so far, two cases so far with this case in Leposavic. This is good news, but at the same time there should be no room for complacency, because the real field mirrors, especially in countries with limited testing capacity, and roughly all Balkan states are comparable to the number of testings for residents if you compare them, and sometimes that can give the fake mirror because sometimes in the field there is low indiscretional, but that's not true because with the geographicality of new cases such as Kamica, Prizren, Mitrovica, Kosova, Kosova and others with the existing ones in Maliishev, and that's about increases in the community, he said.
Raka says that so far the country's institutions, together with health workers, have shown good commitment in keeping the situation under control for failing to spread the virus. He says the important thing is that we respect the rules and guidelines on the part of citizens.
The last <x0-seconds are showing that any concessions, any disrespect costs too much, the last case in Kamenica has best witnessed to us, but this has happened in other cases, so this is where we have to be careful”, said Mr. Raka.
“We are all witnesses because we see them in our cities where we live and where it has been respected, it has not been respected at a satisfactory level, because even for implementing rates to reduce the epidemic rate, there is a very high percentage of meeting rules and guidelines from health institutions. Even these costs anyway, but now the curve has to draw the virus and we hope that the curve is not vertical, be flat as it is thus far”, he said.
Raka says it is currently hard to predict when the situation with the coronobrus will be tamed, but in his opinion April will be the month of decisive confrontation.
“I think of the extent because it is now extended to large parts of Kosovo municipalities and there may also be other cases in other municipalities that have not yet been identified, the real mirror on the ground is greater than this figure we have because of the contacts there are still positive contacts that are not diagnosed”, he said.
Raka says Kosovo must double the number of tests in order to identify the affected and prevent the spread of the virus.
This is one of the key elements in response in time because if we raise the number then in real time we know the situation on the ground and in real time we can intervene, first of all, in isolation, but the point is to identify contact cases that have no symptoms because they can be dangerous in the extent of the infection because if one of the family has now actually been isolated, they don't come out and the possibility of spread is lower now, it's in some way a self-control of them but it controls their isolation and even if the homes of villages are affected, he said.
Microbiologist Raka says that the currently municipality of Malisheva and Pristina remained the two most affected countries with coronarys, but that can also change the following days.
These are some events that threaten the rapid growth or so-called super distribution, and that's why our message constantly doesn't get assembled because it's dangerous, avoid collection, that's the best way of”, he said.
