At the University Clinical Centre's University Clinic of Kosovo, for the first time, the blood vessel was used in a 70-year-old patient with paralysis (implegia) on the left side as a result of closing the blood vessel in the trumpet brain ( ACM right). This has been enabled thanks to investments made by the KSKUK management for the creation of Stroke Center and the medical staff training of Radiology Clinic.
The radio team for the first time used the stentin (reviver) to remove conceived blood (trombit ) at brain arteries (coca) and the reopening of blood into the brain.
Stant Repriever is a highly advanced product that helps capture and attract the blood clot and reopen the blood vessel. With the blood flow restored to the closed vessel, it is possible to supply food and oxygen to the part of the brain that is endangered to damage, with which the functions that began to lose (although the affected region of the brain) are restored.
The patient addressed with the minimum radiological invasive procedure of mechanical thrombectomy, has quickly turned the functioning of the left hand and left foot to a large extent.
Radio team Dr. Dr. Ilir Bata, Dr. Murat Murat, led by Dr. Bujar Gjikoli, with the help of radiology technology Shefki Bytyqi, supported by anesthesiology team Dr. The Arifaj News, Dr. Arian Ademi with anesthesiologist Bekim Halili, neurologist Dr. Mufti Brian, Dr. Bashkim Sheholli, Syzana Alikaj and Emergency Doctors Dr. Naser Syla, Dr. Nergyvane Halimi, Dr. Dean Cakay, Dr. Valbona Gashi, Dr. Nazife Rexhepi and Mirjeta Binakaj. This contemporary technique is being applied to KSKUK as a result of the Radiology Clinic initiative, supported by management at the helm with Dr. Basri Sejdiu, director of Neurology Clinic, Dr. Nexmerdin Shala, of Anesthesiology Clinic, Prof. Dr. Nehat Battiu and Emergency Clinic Director Dr. Basri Lenyan.
Interested media may receive images and interviews with Dr. Bujar Gjikoli and the team, today at 2: 00 p.m., in the Stroke Center spaces of the Neurology Clinic.
