The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo for the North Mitrovica branch, Gonge Chaushi today, has spoken about the serious situation that has been created in northern Kosovo following Serbia's police hour enforcement, as well as the Serbian authorities' decision to quarantine the Kosovo municipalities of northern Mitrovica and Zvecan.
In a post on her Facebook page she has made co-aware of the surrender of Kosovo's sovereignty, the outgoing government of Mr. Kurti saying there has been “permission issued for Serb parallel structures to autonomously manage measures against pandemic within our state.
It has also expressed concern among Albanian residents living in the north of Ibri, who, according to her, “are feeling very uncertain of the government's indifference and neglect to leave”.

The outgoing government of Kurt has abandoned Kosovo's north and handed it over to Belgrade after leaving the fight against corruption in this area in the hands of Serbia's state authorities. This irresponsible government has held back from violating our state sovereignty that has been done through imposing in northern Kosovo on Serbia's police hour, and recently there is no response to the quarantine from Belgrade of both Kosovo municipalities in northern Mitrovica and Zvecan. The dismissed government is even co-aware of this handover of the sovereignty of the state of Kosovo by issuing permission for parallel Serb structures to autonomously manage measures against pandemic within our state. This is the alarming situation that has disturbed all northern Kosovo Albanian residents who are feeling very insecure, and from this indifference and negligence of the outgoing government.
