At the 21st cabinet meeting in office with Albin Kurti last night, a decision was made to appoint three company boards in the country.
The appointment of the Post Board, the Infraco Waters, has sparked numerous reactions, especially after it became known that some of the appointees were either members or close to the Vetevendosje Movement.
For this issue, there has been a reaction by incumbent Economy Minister Roseta Hajdari who argued that the appointment of boards has been made temporarily. According to her, it's about people who recently joined LVV and who don't steal the state.
However, this decision by the incumbent government is not even being reconciled to the coalition partner of LVVA, LDK. The incumbent ministers of the Democratic League have not even participated in the vote held on the subject last night.
Democratic League of Kosovo leader Isa Mustafa has said today about Journal Express that the LDK's ministers in this government remain solely to help fight the Coronavirus.
“Ministers from LDK in this government remain only to help fight COVID-19. Not to participate in other government decisions in the LDK's resignations have ministers participated in any vote on boards”, Mustafa says, while clarifying that they supported the meeting that was held yesterday only the decision to compensate teachers for long-term teaching organisation.
According to Mustafa, the appointment of party militants on board does not reason consistently, and says this is being done for the personal interests of LVVA.
The appointment of party militants on board does not reason with caution. Nor does it reason with the need for an outgoing government to do so. It's party militaristism and a tendency to capture public companies for VV interests. It's a violation of their public statements to depoliticize the boards. Their politicisation in this form is party corruption”, Mustafa has said.
The appointment of these boards has been condemned to other political parties in the country as well. Civil society.
