Chapman has been a racer in the Bellator series, estimated the second largest after the UFC for MMA.
“The founder is saddened by the news of the death of Isaiah Chapman. The most sincere condolences for his family and friends in this difficult time” is said in the communiqué of Bellator.
Bellator's other fighter, Joseph Martin, has opened a page at “Bottom with” to raise funds for Chapman's family.
The 30-year-old Chapman, who fought in the bantam category, has been shot at with firearms in the late hours of Tuesday. In MMA there were balances of nine and four defeats.
