Croatia's prime minister, Plenkovic, has announced that leaders of all 27 EU member states and 6 Western Balkan countries will participate in this video conference, writes KOHA.
At the same time, holding the conference through video links between EU leaders and the Western Balkans has confirmed in Brussels the president of the European Council, Charles Michel.
Croatia's prime minister, Andrej Plenkov, and European Council President Charles Michel, were now looking for a solution to how to hold this meeting, from which Croatia did not want to give up. And on the other hand, it was impossible for it to develop according to plan on May 6th and 7th in Zagreb.
There was an idea to develop later in June, but no one can know whether at the time the situation with the coronary crisis would enable such a meeting. So they also agreed on May 6th, the day they had to meet in Zagreb, leaders from the EU and those from the region to hold the conference through video connections. That way the EU is already holding its meetings and so was Thursday's summit, during which details about the shape and amount of means that will be shared for coping with the crisis were discussed for more than 5 hours.
