Kurti: In public companies we have encountered evidence that will be submitted to the investigation bodies.

The incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, along with incumbent Minister of Economy, Employment, Trade, Industry, Strategic Investments; Roseta Hajdari -- have been addressed to the media through a video recording. Kurti said that thanks to the work of many workers in the country, many companies have not failed, even though he believed they were hit by former directors and managers [...]

Kurti said that thanks to workers' work many companies in the country have not failed, even though, according to him, they were orchestrated by former senior managers and managers.

Many tajunas in our country became such to a considerable extent by scraping out the large deposit of public wealth built with the labor of citizens or inherited from the preliminary generations. So thousands of contracts, millions of funds and the lack of loyalty of former public executives created the conditions for the public services of these companies every season to receive shocks until many of them were left without income and hard to pay their own employees”.

In our action to realise these goals, we have encountered evidence and data that will undoubtedly be submitted to the investigation organs. We have also encountered in almost banditistic practices outside any minimum ethical standard that should necessarily prevail in public institutions. These practices have been brutally expressed in recent days, as in the case of former Telekom chief, who, along with unauthorized persons, has interrupted the work of the interim board. Construction with methods of force or threat to the new directors of the public company is a case for law and order bodies. Kurti has said.

His full speech:

Similarly, I take the opportunity to thank on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo employees and specialists of our public companies who are working and offering vital services to our country in these difficult times of COVID-19.

The motive for this thanks is certainly linked even to their infallible role that they have yet done in protecting the company they are part of. Thanks to them many companies, even though with an orchestrated shock by former senior managers and managers, have not failed.

Many tajunas in our country became such to a considerable extent by corroding the large deposit of public wealth built with the labor of citizens or inherited from the preliminary generations. So thousands of contracts, millions of funds and the lack of loyalty of former public leaders created the conditions for the public services of these companies each season to get hit until many of them remained without income and hard to pay their own workers.

Our companies stole the space for business, amassing often illegal profits from the devised tenders of harmful contracts, and creating the social impression that the public entity cannot operate in market economy conditions.

As claims on free competition are heard aloud, we are witnessing its use as alibi to take the job from the public company's hands to turn it into a contract that always loses public company.

Even for the policy of human resources, where those who knew and dared were moved out, to surrender, step out, or to leave. In many cases the demand for specialists has been silence and forced labour because the potential product of their work is calculated to be contracted from outside. So we've come to the situation that field specialists, mainly engineers and engineers in all fields, find massivees outside public entities, deprived the public of the benefits of their knowledge and potential.

These are likely in Telekom, Post, KEK, at nearly all water and sewer companies, in Trepca, Infrakos, etc.

We are determined to return public enterprises, according to their profile, from reducing the search for subsidies every month to organizations producing increased economic and public value.

So as we've presented it very clearly, I believe, our government policy has been:

a. The radical shift in the way our companies run that provide vital services to our country.

b. The departure of officials whose action or silence has tolerated such a devastating situation for public services and their finances

c. The start of the road with the temporary boards and new leaders for establishing order, normal management practices, and preparing the conditions for recruiting specialists who will lead according to full mandate.

In our action of realising these goals, we have encountered evidence and data that will undoubtedly be submitted to the investigative bodies. We have also encountered in almost banditistic practices outside any minimum ethical standard that should necessarily prevail in public institutions. These practices have been brutally expressed in recent days, as in the case of former Telekom chief, who, along with unauthorized persons, has interrupted the work of the interim board. Construction by methods of force or threat to the new directors of the public company is a case of law and order organs.

Let no one attempt and no one in intimidation ever lets the threat of new members of the boards again because it will face the force of the law as never before.
